~Crazy Weather~

I don’t know if I will be able to finish this post  – the weather is terrible here. The three towns that surround us got hit HARD!! Thankfully we live up in the mountains in a valley, so we shouldn’t get touched here. Well except for rain and possibly hail.

We had three definite touchdowns around where we live. One in the town my kids go to school, the other two in areas we travel very often. And the town we used to live in has been hammered by all three waves. We are just now getting some rain but this third wave can possible hit us. No doubt we won’t be able to get down the mountain tomorrow, they will be busy cleaning the surrounding areas as well as all the downed trees in the road up and down the mountain.

Luckily the schools around here are very careful with our kids. If something this bad is coming, they let school out early, and better yet, they call and let the parents know. Today they let out at 12:15. We battened down the hatches, planned a dinner that didn’t require cooking in case we lost power and have been sitting here amazed by what we see on TV (when they aren’t knocked off air) and hear outside.

I knew something was up earlier today by the way my dogs were acting. Now they are all plastered to someone’s side (doesn’t matter who really LOL) and follow us through every room. Kiddos are nestled in their beds, the teenagers are in and out admiring the storm and watching Revenge of the Nerds. So I guess I’m gonna tuck in as well. Sorry it was so short and boring folks – sometimes it is good to have days like that though. :)

Keep it real – see you tomorrow.
